We as people do not plan to fail, but too often we fail to plan. A business plan that is written with great care and then referred to and maintained consistently will help to avoid costly errors, save time, and promote success. A business plan can be written and structured in detail or it can start out simple and evolve over time. The best strategy depends on the size and complexity of the company and how the business plan will be implemented. Starting up a business without first defining the objectives and policies is like embarking on a journey without knowing the destination.

An ounce of planning is worth a pound of success!

Over the past 30 years, I have built several successful businesses and helped many other people to build their businesses. Electronics and computers have always been a big part of my business planning. With technology, there is typically an up front investment to structure software and services and then there is a long term ongoing benefit from being more organized and by automating redundant tasks, which reduces the work load saving time and money.

During the early 1980's I used an Apple II computer to keep track of inventory and sales. The floppy disks made a lot of noise and spun for what sometimes seemed forever before spitting out the rough data to the green phosphor screen. It was archaic compared to modern computer technology. However, at the time it was cutting edge to have any kind of computer in a small business. The computers of that time were NOT user friendly and it took a lot of time to set up and maintain the data, but in the end computerization saved my company time and money by eliminating paper clutter, organizing data, and automating redundant tasks. It was part of my business plan to use technology whenever possible and this planning has paid off over and over again.

Nowadays, it's typical for companies to use computers in all areas of business. The technology and software has evolved into a new level of sophistication and user-friendliness. Just about everyone has access to computers and software. However, there are still many among us who don't know the difference between a domain and a hole in the ground. You know who I'm talking about! That's where I can help with years of business and Internet marketing experience. Contact me to discuss details and cost. Provide an outline of your needs and leave a phone number. If it looks like I can help to develop your business technology, I will give you up to an hour of my time to discuss the details over the phone or in person.
